Selecting Better Pets

After we started thinking more seriously about expanding our family, my husband brought up the idea of getting a pet or two. While I was completely against the concept at first, I realized that it might be helpful for our children to warm up to the idea before having another sibling. We got a dog and our kids were tasked with the job of feeding it every day and doing other tasks, and it was amazing to see how much the animal helped our family to grow. Pets can be a wonderful addition to a home, which is why I made this blog. Check out these fun pet posts.

Considering Buying a Cockapoo? 3 Reasons Why This Is a Great Dog

Natalie Baker

If you are considering buying a Cockapoo dog, you should know this would be a great choice no matter who you are. Keep reading to learn of three reasons why it is worth the money to purchase this dog.

Great for the Entire Family

When you get a Cockapoo, you will quickly notice how it loves everyone in your family. This also goes for just about anyone that walks through your door. These dogs also get along well with other dogs and maybe even a cat if you have one.

You can expect this breed to jump up and lounge in your lap or jump or lay next to you when it is sleepy. These dogs are not hyper but they do have a lot of energy. Because they are a smaller dog this will likely not be a problem for many households.

Sheds Very Little

A Cockapoo sheds very little no matter what time of year it is. You do need to brush your dog daily to help prevent knots and matting, however. You will also have to take your dog to a groomer when their hair gets too long. The groomer will use clippers to do this and this will also help prevent knots in the dog's hair. If your dog were to get knots in their coat, they would have to be cut out as they would be tough to brush through, Because this breed is small, it will not take a lot of time to give it a good brush.

Because this dog does not shed a lot, this is beneficial if you have anyone that lives in your honey that has allergies. You will also not have to worry about constantly vacuuming to get the hair off your carpet or getting hair on your clothes.

Is a Quiet Dog

Cockapoos do not bark—if they do, they bark very little. They may bark if they hear someone knocking on the door but only to alert you. Instead of barking these dogs are vocal which does sound cute. They will also be vocal if you leave them alone.

These dogs are intelligent and can be trained easily. Providing this training can teach your dog to not bark if someone does knock on your door. This is especially beneficial if you live in an apartment or close to other homes.
